Hard Night

Last night was a very hard night for me. I had a very productive day at work and wanted nothing more than to go home, work out, eat dinner and relax. Well, things did go as planned, but were made worse by the "ex." I got home to discover that the "ex" had delivered all of my belongings from his house to my room apparently while I was at work. This was made worse by him not even leaving a note. I have not heard ONE word from him since he called it quits. If it hadn't sunk in that we were no longer a couple, it is bright and clear now. M.E.N.

Did he have a key to do this? And if so, did he leave it in your apartment? If not, I'd make sure to get it back, and that might give you the chance to tell him off that I'm sure you want (and which will make you feel WAY better for at least a few minutes, until you think of all the other horrible things you would have loved to have said but didn't think of at the time! but you only get one go! and personally, I think it is very rude of him not to give you that chance. It's the least he could do ;).

My goodness! Agreed with Strange Bird...did he leave the key? That's a pretty gutsy move. Time for his stuff in a box now too?

You deserve better. Please try to find the good in this; you will go on to find a better man.

Yes, he had a key. We have been dating 3 1/2 years and no he didn't leave it. Crazy I know.

I'm serious, though, you do need to call him and get him to give you the key back. He shouldn't have it anymore, for a number of reasons. And I'm also serious that you should use the opportunity to tell him off, and that it really will make you feel better. People cannot exit a long-term relationship without any processing, no matter what he thinks, and you should take any chance you get to do it, even if he thought he didn't need to give it to you. You actually will feel better, and tough sh*t how he feels about it and whether he wants to hear it or not.
